ADT Caps, the physical-security brand of SK Shieldus, uses virtual reality to train staff in South Korea. The scenarios let staff practise recognising workplace hazards and deciding how to respond in the first moments of an incident.
What staff practise
The training covers safety rules, the use of protective equipment and responses to hazards at work. SK Shieldus said several staff can train at the same time, including at sites with limited internet access. The training can also incorporate footage of hazards filmed at work sites.
Rollout
In April 2026, SK Shieldus outlined plans for stereoscopic VR training as part of ADT Caps’s wider campaign to improve field staff safety. A photo published by SK Shieldus in May shows ADT Caps staff trying the training with Pico G3 headsets. In November, Newsway reported that ADT Caps was expanding its use of VR training and planned to extend it to road safety, including how to prevent accidents while driving.
