Appland, a Japanese company, plans to hold the VTuber music live event ASTERISK in Virtual Sanrio Puroland on Saturday 12 December 2026. The show is staged in Sanrio's Virtual Sanrio Puroland, a virtual theme park on the social VR platform VRChat as a special arrangement for the event.

Virtual Sanrio Puroland is a permanent park that Sanrio operates on VRChat, open around the clock to visitors anywhere in the world. For the event, part of the park's world is specially rearranged into an ASTERISK stage. Appland describes the event as produced with Sanrio's cooperation and with Gugenka, a Sanrio group company that shares production duties with Appland.

Performances and access

The event is planned as two performances with five VTubers each, ten performers in all. The performers come from Appland's own VTuber rosters and other agencies. Visitors with a VRChat viewing setup can attend in the virtual park. For people without one, Appland also plans to sell an online stream ticket that can be watched on a PC or smartphone, like an ordinary online live show.
