The Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) used AR glasses to give delegates real-time translation at the 2026 Beijing E-Town Future Game and Esports Technology Conference. The event was held on 21 October 2026 at the Beijing Smart Esports Event Center, and the glasses let attendees follow speeches across languages without interpretation headsets.
The programme brought together domestic and international industry representatives, including speakers from NODWIN Gaming, Tencent Interactive Entertainment and G-DEVS, which made cross-language communication a practical need.
How the translation system worked
LLVision's AR+AI conference translation system, co-developed with Zhipu Z.ai, was put into use at scale at the venue. It combines speech capture, AI recognition and translation with an AR optical display, turning what speakers say into live subtitles in front of the wearer's eyes.
Delegates did not have to rely on traditional interpretation headsets or keep looking down at their phones. They could watch the speaker and live demonstrations while reading the translation, which the source describes as making cross-language exchange more natural and direct.
Organizers
A deputy secretary of the Beijing E-Town Working Committee attended the event, and a Working Committee publicity department official spoke about follow-up plans for the conference. Shangyicheng Group signed cooperation agreements with several companies at the conference.
