On September 22–23, 2026, Hiroshima Toyo Carp fans attending official games at Mazda Zoom-Zoom Stadium Hiroshima are invited to try a free augmented-reality spectator trial in the stadium concourse, running from around 11:00 until the end of each day's game.

The trial is organised by XR company Berise and sports-data firm Data Stadium, with the cooperation of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp. Each participant wears AR glasses that overlay real-time game information — such as score and player statistics — into their field of view while they watch the live action on the field, without needing to look away from the game. The data is drawn from Data Stadium's "Sports Data Live" service, built for professional-baseball commentators and streamers. Berise designed the spectator experience, developed the AR system, and is running the on-site operation.

AR glasses vendor Xreal is lending two of its device models for the trial — the Xreal One Pro glasses and the Xreal Beam Pro companion unit — with its role limited to supplying the hardware.

Participation is free and requires no advance booking, though a same-day match ticket is still needed for stadium entry. Each person's experience lasts about three minutes, followed by a roughly three-minute survey; organisers may switch to a numbered-ticket system if queues build up, and wearing the glasses while walking is prohibited for safety. As of the announcement the trial had not yet taken place — it is a two-day proof-of-concept to test the appeal and value of AR-enhanced live sports viewing, not a permanent installation.
