The glasses sit within a wider accessible inventory workflow. Bosma also adopted autonomous drone inventory technology from Gather AI after visually impaired employees had been unable to perform inventory counting independently. The drones photograph products and pallets, convert visual information into inventory data, and deliver results through an iPad screen reader.
Business Insider reported the deployment in August 2026 as an operating workplace system. Gather AI later reported that its drone-assisted inventory scanning was 15 times faster than Bosma's previous method and improved inventory accuracy by 66%; those figures apply to the drone inventory workflow, not specifically to the smart glasses.
