Capcom Co., Ltd. announced on September 17, 2026 that it will open MIRAINO Aeon Mall Date, a new experiential amusement facility inside the Aeon Mall Date shopping complex under construction in Date City, Fukushima Prefecture, planned for the second half of 2026. MIRAINO is Capcom's own amusement-facility format, combining several of the company's in-house attractions under one roof around a 'future play' concept; the release states this will be the MIRAINO format's first location in the Tohoku region.

One pillar of the facility is VR-X, a VR attraction corner that Capcom itself operates across its amusement venues - Capcom's own press release states plainly that 'VR-X is a VR facility deployed at amusement facilities operated by Capcom.' At the Date location, VR-X will run two titles, both for 1-4 players: Onimusha VR SHADOW TEAM and BIOHAZARD VALIANT RAID, per Capcom's own VR content and player-count block and MoguraVR's report. At Capcom's existing VR-X locations these two titles run about 25 and 35 minutes respectively; at those existing venues Biohazard Valiant Raid sessions are described as 4-person, with parties of fewer than four grouped with other visitors booked for the same slot - a detail specific to the existing venues, not stated for Date. A press photograph distributed with the announcement shows a visitor wearing a head-mounted VR display and holding a ring-topped handheld controller, cabled to overhead and rack equipment, consistent with a wired VR headset tethered to a separate device of unspecified kind; no maker or model could be confirmed from the image. Capcom's own VR-X shop list at the time of this announcement names seven existing locations - two CAPCOMIX stores, three Plaza Capcom stores and two other MIRAINO branches (Aeon Mall Hakusan and Aeon Mall Toyokawa) - but does not yet list the Date store, consistent with it being announced rather than open.

Beyond VR-X, the Date facility will add the large physical-activity zone 'Crazy BANeT with CAPCOM ALL STARS', which the release states is making its first appearance in the Tohoku region; an adjoining indoor play area for preschoolers ('Kids BANeT'); the hands-on showcase 'DIVE! CAPCOM' with playable demos of Capcom's latest titles and life-size character figures; and a general arcade zone with crane games and photo-sticker machines. As of this announcement the facility has not opened; Capcom has given only 'second half of 2026' as the target, with no specific month or day stated.
