Confidential Care, a psychiatric and mental-health practice in Wasilla, offers BraveMind virtual reality exposure therapy to veterans following a system donation from SoldierStrong. The clinic confirms that it has the system and is ready to provide the service. SoldierStrong identifies this as its first BraveMind placement in Alaska and its 31st donation to a VA or partner facility. These milestones describe access and the donor programme, not patient outcomes at the clinic.
Developed by the University of Southern California Institute for Creative Technologies, BraveMind supports exposure therapy led by a trained clinician. The donation announcement describes 14 virtual combat environments, which a therapist selects and adjusts to help a veteran recall and process traumatic experiences. USC describes a separate clinician control interface and multisensory capabilities; the precise peripherals supplied in Wasilla are not itemized.
SoldierStrong’s summer 2025 newsletter links the planned donation to support raised through its March 25, 2025 virtual poker fundraiser. Its fall 2025 newsletter still describes the donation as forthcoming; the April 2026 announcement reports it completed.
