A transnational partnership of schools and partners, coordinated by the Belgian school De Bron, is developing virtual reality educational games under the Erasmus+ project "VR4Green Futures: A Whole-School Approach to Immersive STEAM Games for Sustainable Learning". The project aims to innovate teaching through VR-based educational models and an interdisciplinary STEAM approach, raising students' awareness of topics such as zero-impact cities, renewable energy and the circular economy.
The project was awarded as an Erasmus+ KA220 Cooperation Partnership for school education (project number 2026-1-BE02-KA220-SCH-000450844). Its first kick-off meeting took place in Tielt, Belgium, with technical sessions and a visit to the host school. The VR games are still to be developed, so the project is at the announced stage.
