Glow Art Experience, a touring immersive and interactive exhibition, is running at the Galería Nacional in the Museo de los Niños building in San José, Costa Rica, from 24 September to 22 November 2026. It is the first time the show has come to Costa Rica, and it is part of the museum's events programme for the second half of 2026. The attraction fills the whole first floor of the gallery and was already open to visitors in late September, when the museum reported that tickets were sold out for Sunday 27 September.

The organizers describe it as a multisensory attraction in which light and technology converge in an immersive environment, with each visitor taking part interactively.

What visitors experience

Visitors follow a tour of about an hour through six themed sections. According to the organizers, the installation combines inflatable structures, mirrors, a large pool of plastic balls, LED lighting, videomapping projections and virtual reality headsets. Press photos show visitors wading through the ball pool beneath glowing inflatable clouds, and a child holding a VR headset in front of an illuminated inflatable hot-air balloon.

Figures reported by the organizers for the Costa Rica run:

  • 700 square metres of mirrors
  • 300,000 balls
  • More than 10,000 LED lights

A touring show

Glow Art Experience travels between venues. An earlier run opened at the Megapolis Outlets shopping centre in Panama on 26 February, apparently in 2026. The Panama promoter says the show has reached more than a million visitors in several Latin American countries, a claim that comes from promotional material. General admission in San José was listed at 5,000 colones, with tickets sold online.

Quotes
