Hermantown Community Schools is piloting Dunwoody Immersive at Hermantown High School in fall 2026. Thirteen seniors are participating in two career and technical education courses: DC Circuit Fundamentals and Early Global Architecture. Hermantown hosts the courses and provides classroom headsets; Dunwoody provides the Canvas-based online coursework and instructors. Hands-on virtual-reality labs are scheduled to start in October, letting students practise circuit work and explore built environments without leaving campus.

The district invested in five headsets for classroom use and reported that students had already begun experimenting with them before the October lab start. Dunwoody describes its course labs as interactive virtual environments delivered on Meta Quest headsets alongside Canvas coursework and Dunwoody-provided instructors. A classroom image credited to Hermantown Public Schools shows the deployed headsets in use.
