Composer and performer John Allen, who works as John Allen Loops, created Stardust and has toured it across the United States since 2023. He builds the score in real time using live looping and improvisation as projected footage takes audiences through asteroid fields, past Saturn’s rings and beyond the solar system.

The tour’s Wichita, Kansas, stop opened November 5, 2026, at Exploration Place’s Dome Theater, with performances scheduled through November 8. For that stop, Exploration Place lists Allen as the sole musician and describes a 60-foot dome. Local station KWCH reports that the hour-long show moves through multiple musical genres and uses 360-degree, 4K space projections.

Exploration Place reports repeat sold-out performances in Las Vegas and sold-out shows in Nashville, Cleveland, Tacoma and the Washington, D.C. area.

Quotes

“People are amazed by it, relaxed by it, because you go through all of these genres of music throughout the hour-long program. People come up to me and are like, ‘That was absolutely amazing,’ and that’s incredible to hear.”
