The Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) has developed a hologram to be deployed at the satellite building of Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1. The hologram is intended to help travellers obtain information about arrival procedures in Malaysia.

AKPS deputy director-general (management) Ismail Mokhtar said the initiative is part of the agency's efforts to use technology to make it easier for travellers to access information on arrival. The hologram was launched by home ministry secretary-general Awang Alik Jeman at AKPS's second anniversary celebration in Sepang. A launch photograph shows a free-standing cabinet branded AKPS Hologuide presenting a life-size avatar of a uniformed female officer.

Its development was inspired by a home ministry initiative that installed a hologram of minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail in the ministry's lobby.
