Election-night AR production

MBC plans to air its Selection 2026 local-election special on June 3, 2026. The broadcast will use augmented-reality graphics to present election data as part of a large studio production.

Studio format

The set centers on a panoramic main LED wall and a movable Cube M display. The cube can rotate through 360 degrees and connect visually with the main screen while AR graphics are composited into the broadcast.

Data visualization

MBC says the production includes roughly 50 data formats. One AR segment recreates the National Museum of Korea inside the studio, while other segments combine live-action material, computer graphics and generative AI.

Broadcast context

The production is designed for MBC's live coverage of South Korea's ninth nationwide local elections. It is a viewer-facing broadcast visualization workflow rather than an audience headset experience.
