The Minami Hida Forest Owners' Cooperative (南ひだ森林組合) is scheduled to run a chainsaw experience corner using VR goggles and controllers at the 1st Gero Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Forestry Festival (第1回 げろ商工農林祭). The festival is set for Sunday 8 November 2026, 10:00-15:00, at the Gero Koryu Kaikan Active On Arena and its outdoor car park in Gero, Japan. On the festival flyer the corner appears at booth 14 in the crafts experience area, alongside a wood-splitting experience.
The festival is organised by the Gero Chamber of Commerce and Industry (下呂商工会). The chamber says it hopes hands-on experiences of local work and skills, which visitors rarely encounter in daily life, will spark children in particular to take an interest in regional industries. The VR chainsaw experience is listed among the festival's planned activities; it is announced and interactive, and has not yet taken place.
