Miners Landing, the Seattle waterfront attraction operator, has run Sasquatch Mountain on Pier 57 since 3 April 2026. Guests wear VR headsets on motion seats for a Bigfoot hunt through the Pacific Northwest wilds, in a film that combines computer-generated and live-action footage.
The ride was designed to fit a very small, previously unused area of the pier while still delivering the excitement and immersion of a major theme park attraction.
How the ride works
Each session carries 24 riders and runs ten to sixteen minutes from briefing to daylight. The VR experience is paired with physical effects including haptics, wind and forest scents, and riders meet an animatronic Bigfoot at the entrance.
- Super 78: content production studio that created the ride with its technology partners.
- VR Coaster: supplied the headsets and their synchronization.
- Kraftwerk Living Technologies: supplied the motion-base seats.
Access and pricing
Tickets cost $25 for adults, $20 for youth and $22 for seniors. The operator lists a minimum rider height of 42 inches (107 cm).
