Moreno Valley Museum & ArtSpace in California is scheduled to open Dead by Daylight: The Immersive Experience on Friday 30 October 2026, billed as a worldwide premiere. The walk-through experience is based on the multiplayer horror game developed by Behaviour Interactive, which teamed with the museum to present it for Halloween. It was created by Lighthouse Immersive, which also created the museum with the City of Moreno Valley, and it joins the venue's Immersive Van Gogh programme. It is announced rather than yet operating, and is recommended for ages 13 and over.
How it works
The 45-minute experience unfolds in three acts across 5,000 sq ft of large-scale projections, as stated by the venue. It uses 360-degree wall and floor projection, surround sound and motion-tracking technology that responds to guests' movements.
- Act 1, "Little Museum of Horror" (18 minutes): guests enter an interactive museum of up to 12 Dead by Daylight Killers held inside towering containment crates. It ends as the Entity seizes the room and flesh-like webs engulf the walls.
- Act 2, "Get immersed" (12 minutes; "The Chase" in the press release): guests are swept through the game's most terrifying locations, running alongside Survivors towards an open exit gate with Killers close behind.
- Act 3, "Escape" (15 minutes; "Gaming for Your Life" in the press release): guests step onto interactive floor stations to restore power while a shared heartbeat speeds up around them. When the Killers invade the room, every guest must help save an assigned Survivor.
Lighthouse Immersive's CEO Corey Ross says guests have to work together to survive the story.
Opening and tickets
The experience opens on 30 October and runs daily from 11am to 7pm at 22550 Town Circle, Moreno Valley. Tickets are on sale from $29.99, with VIP packages available, according to the venue's press release of 22 October 2026. Mayor Ulises Cabrera says the museum gives the community and visitors from across Southern California a reason to gather.
