NewsMuseum in Sintra, Portugal, presents the history of the 20th and 21st centuries through media coverage in an immersive 360-degree visitor experience. The programme, described as “100 Years Told by the Media”, uses projection in the museum’s Lounge to revisit major episodes from the last century.

The Lounge combines this projected presentation with a giant interactive touch screen offering other museum content. NewsMuseum describes the touch screen as measuring 67 square metres; that figure refers to the interactive display, not the area of the 360-degree projection.

According to the museum, the history video presentation is shown every 30 minutes. This is the interval between presentations, rather than the video’s running time.
