Rotary Club Toledo, through its Movilidad aumentada project, has presented "Ma Neuro", a virtual reality software that lets associations for people with disabilities assess their members and guide them before they take up a sport. The presentation took place at the ONCE headquarters in Toledo, Spain, with representatives of twelve social entities present.
Users wear a VR headset and, depending on their degree of disability, work through adapted exercises and progress through levels. The software is aimed at a wide range of users, from six-year-old children with cerebral palsy to people who have had a stroke or live with Parkinson's disease.
Rollout
- Dynamics VR donated the medical software, which lets associations follow up and prepare users before they start sport.
- The software is to be available for one year to associations that want it.
- The Colegio de Terapeutas de Toledo will carry out the follow-up, tracking successes and improvements to get the most out of the software.
The source describes the offer as newly presented; use by individual associations has not yet been reported.
