The SINFONIA Executive Committee, comprising the Embassy of Italy in Japan, The Asahi Shimbun Company and other participants, is staging a projection-mapping show on Osaka Castle’s main tower. The event commemorates 160 years of diplomatic relations between Japan and Italy and 45 years of sister-city relations between Osaka and Milan.

Images projected onto the tower’s south facade combine with music to express the history and future of exchange between Japan and Italy. Bulgari is a sponsor of the event.

The Asahi Shimbun reported a lighting ceremony and projections on 14 October 2026. The municipal event listing schedules the public run for 15–25 October, while Asahi reports multiple screenings between 7 pm and 10 pm through 25 October, with free viewing. The event listing plans approximately six minutes for each show, subject to adjustment depending on crowd conditions.

Quotes
