Argentine rock band Soda Stereo is touring Soda Stereo Ecos, a concert show in which surviving members Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti share the stage with a recreation of the late singer Gustavo Cerati. The show uses technology to reconstruct Cerati's presence from his voice, guitar and audiovisual records, and the band presents it as a reunion of the three members rather than a tribute. The family of Cerati has backed the production.
How the show works
Press coverage describes the recreated Cerati as a hyperrealistic hologram, comparing it to the 2012 optical illusion of Tupac Shakur at Coachella. Attendees are given 3D glasses at the entrance, and during interludes such as Primavera cero and Cuando pase el temblor the Cerati imagery takes centre stage for viewing through them. At points Cerati appears to greet the audience and speak, while in other songs Bosio and Alberti play on two stages on the arena floor as screens show footage from Cerati's past concerts.
Tour and scale
The tour began in Buenos Aires in March 2026 and has since played several Latin American countries and the United States. Reported stops include:

At the Madrid show, attendees described the staging as spectacular and emotional, while some noted it lacked the human contact of a live performer: the technology recovers the singer's voice and image but not his interaction with the audience.
