Texas A&M University's Institute for Applied Creativity, part of the College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts, is presenting the inaugural Texas InterMedia Experience Festival, known as TIME Fest. The festival opens with immersive 360-degree media experiences at the university's Igloo Studio in College Station, scheduled for Thursday 5 November and Friday 6 November 2026.
Selected immersive projects are meant to surround audiences with image, sound and experimental digital environments, extending storytelling beyond the traditional screen. Attendees need an Immersive Screening Ticket. The official university listing gives the Igloo Studio sessions as 3 to 8 p.m. on 5 November and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on 6 November.
Festival setting
The Igloo Studio is a curved, wraparound projection space, with projectors mounted on a ceiling truss above the screen. The immersive screenings are one part of a three-day festival (5-7 November) that also brings together experimental film, animation, screendance and audiovisual art, with screenings at the Queen Theatre in Bryan. The City of Bryan is shown as the festival's sponsor.
The immersive programme is announced and has not yet taken place.
