Tingpang Town Red Heritage VR Experience Hall in Sanmen County, Zhejiang, is using virtual reality to bring revolutionary history to visitors. A local media report observed the venue in soft opening on 1 October 2026, describing it as a new project within the town’s revolutionary heritage tourism offering.

Visitors wear VR headsets and hold a simulated rifle during a 25-minute immersive journey. Revolutionary scenes unfold from a first-person perspective, turning stories presented through exhibition text and images into an experience of retracing earlier generations’ paths.

Project lead Lin Feng identified the area’s revolutionary heritage as the main reason for establishing the venue there. The report describes visitors’ reactions and the reporter’s experience, but provides no measured learning outcomes or attendance totals.

Quotes
