Unilabs Portugal offers a virtual reality experience during blood collection at the Health & Nutrition Lab on Sonae Campus in Maia, Portugal. Created through a partnership with Sonae, the lab serves Sonae employees and their families, with the aim of making health and wellness services easier and more convenient to access.
Sonae’s Portuguese press release describes 3D content adapted for adults and children, available while patients have blood collected. Clinical sample collection does not require an appointment, and employees and their families receive preferential conditions for the lab’s services. Local newspaper Maia Hoje reported in December 2021 that the lab was already operating and confirmed the availability of 3D content during blood collection.
