The via Mercato primary school in Monterosso Almo, Italy, inaugurated its Aula MIRI immersive classroom on 12 October 2026. The interactive, multisensory learning space surrounds pupils with digital imagery projected across adjoining walls.

According to Radio RTM's report of 13 October 2026, the school's system includes more than 160 educational experiences designed for preschool and primary education. Teachers can also create and customize their own digital lessons. The classroom is intended to support collaboration, attention and active participation by all pupils as part of an inclusive approach to teaching.

The project was funded through regional calls for immersive teaching.
