Agrupamento de Escolas de Vila Flor proposes Escola do Futuro: Laboratório Móvel de Aprendizagem Imersiva, a mobile learning laboratory equipped with virtual and augmented reality. The planned unit would travel directly to schools in inland Portugal, bringing immersive experiences to pupils of several nationalities.

The project aims to make learning more engaging and widen access to educational technology across different schools, helping address territorial inequalities. The school group describes its location as more than 150 km from the nearest immersive science centre, a distance that underpins the proposal to take the experiences to pupils.

The school group’s project announcement says the initiative could involve an investment of approximately €40,000 in pedagogical innovation.
